What is Speak Cells?

Well, it is a small tool button named Speak Cells. Under this Speak Cells group you will find 5 different types of command tools.

1) Speak Cells
2) Speak Cells - Stop Speaking Cells
3) Speak Cells by Columns
4) Speak Cells by Rows
5) Speak Cells on Enter


How to add it to "Quick Access Toolbar" (QAT)?

To add this tool into your Quick Access Toolbar of your MS Excel, just follow the below steps:


Step 1:
Click on Customize Quick Access Toolbar down arrow as shown in picture below:

Step 2:
Excel Options dialog box will appear. Select Quick Access Toolbar from left side navigation bar. Then choose All Commands from Choose commands from drop down list. And then select Speak Cells and Click on Add button and Click on Ok button.

Step 3:
Now the tool will show in your Quick Access Toolbar. Click on it to activate and start typing in any cell in any worksheet and press enter. Now click on the Speak Cells icon. It starts reading whatever you have typed in that cell. Note that, it will not read Formulas. But will tell you which value you get from formula.
