How to create an Interactive Battery Chart in Excel 2016

To create a Battery Chart in Excel means just like you see the charging percentage on your Phone. You can easily identify when you should plug for recharge your phone. Similarly in Sales, we can apply a Battery Chart so that, Team Leader can drive for Sales in time. In this tutorial I will tell you how you can create a Battery Chart in Excel.

Although I've already written an article in my blog about "Battery Chart", but this is going to be different. I will say this is an Interactive Battery Chart and it will be easy. So, lets start.


Here is the Step by Step Tutorial:

Step 1: Your first step is making a data table like below image:

Step 2 : Select F3:I6 data range and Insert a 3D Stacked Column Chart.

Step 3 : Click on "Switch Row to Column" button from Design Tab.

Step 4 : Now remove Chart Axis, Title, Grid line and Legend.

Image 4 : Clicked on "Switch to Row to Column" and removed all chart elements.

Step 5 : Select the top orange portion then Right Click on it and Select Format Data Series.

Step 6 : Click on Cylinder from Column Shape.

Step 7 : Select "Cap1" and format the Shape Outline and Shape Fill color like below image:

Step 8 : Similarly Select Cap2 (Blue area) and use the same Shape Fill Color and Shape Outline Color.

Step 9 : Select "Remaining Portion" in Chart and Click on "Effect" - "Material" - "Warm Matte" from Side Pane and Select "Clear" from "Translucent".

Step 10 : Select Ach% and Change the fill color of each Battery.

Step 11 : Insert a flowchart magnetic disk on the top of the chart like Charging Point.
