Conditional Formatting is an Excel Tool that allow users to apply custom cell formatting to a selected cell or it can be a selected range based on criteria. The criteria can be set by using hard code value or by using a formula. For example, You have a range A2:A10 which contains numbers between 1 to 9 in each cells. Now it is difficult to look for a number say 8 from this range within seconds. But if you apply a conditional formatting with a condition that, if the number is 8 then it becomes YELLOW as fill color. After applying this you can easily find the number 8 from the range in milliseconds. If you think that, A2:A10 is very short range where only 9 cells need to look and you will find it easily.
